I've been working on an autobiography of sorts lately. I know I'm only 22, but trust me, I have stories to tell. My purpose for this self-reflection is just that... to reflect on myself, understand why I am the way I am, and to correlate my past with nuances and quirks I seem to have picked up alone the way.
Anyways, I just wanted to (1) encourage this, as it's very therapeutic, and (2) explain why I haven't uploaded any new art lately... just preoccupied. I'd like to finish this thing by the end of August, which I don't think is an unrealistic deadline to set for myself.
Maybe I'll post some of it, see what you guys think. I don't know if it's readable or interesting to others, but I'll post some if someone is willing or interesting enough to read it.

Blank inspiration
Starting up a DeviantArt account has motivated me to start making more art. What's strange, though, is that I find I'm overwhelmed by the media with which I can create art. Where do I start?
Graphite?
Ink?
Paint?
Collage?
The list goes on...
And I'm also torn between watermarks and no watermarks, and allowing people to download my art, full file. While I like that my art is being seen and bringing people joy or pleasure by looking at it, I don't want my art used in ways which I would not approve, or distributed without my consent. I'm self-conscious and protective with my art, otherwise I'd just make it public domain with no questions a
Deviance is bliss
Started an account on here today. I'd known about this site for a while, frequently perused through art when I was bored in class or had nothing to do. I never thought about uploading my own art, mostly because I'm self-conscious about it and never really think it's all that good...
But then I thought to myself, "Dane, why not upload some of your art? Isn't part of the reason people submit their art to DeviantArt.com to solicit feedback from other artists/enthusiasts?" What better way to become a better artist than from feedback, tips and the input of fellow artists.
So here I am.
I'm not sure how much I'll be uploading, and due to my lack
